Continuing from my previous post -
Majority of Thangka painters follow well established and traditional scientific arrangement of color, content and proportion. These are based on a pre-defined set of rules, with slight variations based on the region. A conservator takes care of the paintings. The details of the artist (signature, etc.) are not mentioned in the paintings; their importance is displayed in a vast variety of pictorial information. Emotions are portrayed in different colors (for example, white represents peacefulness and compassion). The same picture portrayed in a different color shows a different mood.

So, today I started painting. Baap ree baap…my back is still hurting and I haven’t completed. Lot more of detailing is pending.
No one believes their life will turn out just kind of ok. We all think we’re going to be great. And from the day we decide to become someone , we are filled with expectation. Expectations of the trails we will blaze, the people we will help, the difference we will make. Great expectations of who we will be, where we will go, and then we get there. We all think we’re going to be great. And we feel robbed when our expectations aren’t met.But sometimes our expectations sell us short.Sometimes, the expected pales in comparison to the unexpected. You gotta wonder why we cling to our expectations, because the unexpected is just what keeps us steady…standing…still. The expected is just the beginning. The unexpected is what changes our lives.

Hi…
I saw this great picture online of a mural, and just fell in love with it – would like to thank aarr for sharing. I have tried my version. Its not completed yet; its something that I have been working on, and I guess it will take me a day or two or probably more than that to complete the work. But sure will keep you guys updated.
To all, some crafts you have to do and try, and some you have to learn from an expert. I have been trying my hands in Parchment craft alas I am no where near mastering the craft. If anyone knows any tutor please mail me. I have found an online tutor and may be I will be able to learn

Hi all….
This is once again a work in progress.
Materials I have used :
Thermocol
Chalk Powder
Glue
Water
Acrylic Colors
3 D outliners
Tracing Sheet
Design
Carbon Paper
Sand Paper
How to Do
First Cut the thermocol sheet according to the pattern. Make a mixture of Chalkpowder, glue and water. There is no specific ratio just to a proper consistency. Once the mixture is ready spread it evenly on the thermocol sheet using a knife. Leave it to dry.

Once its dried using a sandpaper evenly smoothen the surface. Now the surface is ready. Once ready using the pattern trace it on to the surface and then paint.

I will post the completed painting very soon.
