Hi all,
Many of you are finding it difficult to post in Get Crafty, So i am posting a tutorial. Its a very lengthy tutorial, but at the same time its very simple once you get to know how to do.
First you will have to register with Get Crafty. Registration page
(That’s how the page will look)
You have to type a username you wish to be registered and a valid mail id ( User Name will be the name displayed in the blog)
Now you will receive a mail in your mail box from get crafty with a password.
Now you can login to the site using that username and password. Once you log in you will reach the Dashboard.
Now click on Profile in the left hand side, You can edit your profile and change your password here.
Once you have done that click on add new post for posting the content you want. ( The content should be strictly related to art and crafts.)
Now you can add images.
(Note: Some of you have had problems trying to upload images. This is because the size of the image that is being uploaded is very huge. Photos taken directly from the camera are high quality and is extremely large. So before you try to upload it here, reduce the size of the image to less than 500KB. You can do this by online image resizer services like ShrinkPictures.com or using an image editing tool like Paint .Net.)
Click on Select Files.
Once you select the file you want to upload, you will be able to see it as it is below.
Once you insert the image, the page will look like this -
Now you got to select the category, if you don’t find the category let me know. I will add the category.
and save as draft.
The content will be saved as draft, so that nobody posts spams and junks. If i change that for one person rest will feel left out. So as of now all my authors/ contributors wont be able to publish.

thanx madhavi. this was very helpful. gv it step by step was excellent. i got till the add new post page before. but i didnt know how to add the picture. i hv just posted one. hope i hv done it right.
i just didnt know which catogery to put it in, so i just adda it to my name.

I clicked Login page link but page is displaying without register link . and I have not yet registered.

Hi Madhavi.
This page was very helpful. I am able to resize my pictures very easily. Can you please add the category ” Plastic Canvas” under Crafts as I am working on a few more things to add in that. Also is it possible to edit my post or photo long after i have added it. i would want to add or delete tags to my work. Regards
Hi Muneer, I think you can edit the posts
by clicking on edit tab do check 
thankx Madhavi, i did try the different tabs a few days back.. and with trial and error i was able to do the needful. this new format is a bit puzzly.. though it is attractive. actually we are used to the old one which looked simple and easy. maybe with time we will become experts in this also.

Dear Madhavi,
I have tried uploading 1 of my works under Fabric Paintings, but am unable to view the same.Does it takes time to come under those categories?
Also it will be great if you can create a category by my name like already existing for other contributors, so that I can add into that.

Hi madhavi…..i want to regester in getcrafty……i followed the instruction u have given in the home page, but it is not regestering…..its saying user regestration is not allowed…. when & how can i regester……please guide me.
